The above table signifies many facts for any nation to consider. If you see the list of the world’s happiest countries and prosperous countries, you will find almost the same names on top of the list. It proves that happiness brings prosperity.
Our India ranks 144th in the happiness index and 101st in the prosperity index. The main reason for its lagging behind is its overpopulation – 1,380,004,385. It ranks second in terms of population. It is the seventh country in terms of area and 22nd in most densely populated countries.
If you analyze the table, you will realize that countries with an optimal population made it to the top of the above list.
The population plays a crucial role in the happiness and prosperity of any nation. The countries with the optimal population are more prosperous and happy.
The optimal population of any country determines many facts:
- Per capita income is more;
- It ensures that every citizen of the country gets an ample amount of benefits from the government;
- It guarantees employment for everyone;
- It helps in enough housing and agricultural land for everyone;
- It ensures that all services such as -transportation, security, electricity, water, medical, health are available for every citizen.
Overpopulation is a burden on the national economy and resources.
It is the right time for India to take corrective steps for controlling the growing population; it will speed up its economic and GDP growth…✍️
