Vivekananda Rock Memorial

Vivekananda Rock Memorial is a monument and popular tourist attraction in Kanyakumari, India’s southernmost tip. Swami Vivekananda did a meditation on that rock for three days for enlightenment. According to legends, it was on this rock that Goddess Kanyakumari (Parvathi) performed tapas in devotion to lord Shiva.

The memorial consists of two main structures, the Vivekananda Mandapam and the Shripada Mandapam. This mandapa consists of the following sections:

  • Dhyana Mandapam is the meditation Hall with six adjacent rooms.
  • Sabha Mandapam is the Assembly Hall comprising Pratima Mandapam (statue section), two rooms, a corridor, and an open prakaram (outer courtyard) around the Sabha Mandapam.
  • Mukha Mandapam

The idea to construct the memorial originated in the 1960s, spearheaded by Eknath Ranade, a prominent social and spiritual leader. The construction of the Vivekananda Rock Memorial commenced in 1962 till 1970.

The renowned architect Eknath Ranade designed the Vivekananda Rock Memorial. The President of India, Dr. V.V. Giri, inaugurated it in 1971.

The RSS established Vivekananda Kendra in 1972. There is also a life-sized bronze statue of Swami Vivekananda on the premises.

Thiruvalluvar Statue is the statue of the greatest Tamil poet, Philosopher, and saint, Thiruvalluvar, commonly known as Valluvar, located on the Island 500 meters adjacent to the Swami Vivekananda Rock Memorial.

These two great memorials make this place memorable and the most visited place in Kanyakumari.

Vote for Bharat !!!

The 2024 Lok Sabha election will be a crucial turning point for the progress of our nation. All eyes are on our country as a superpower.

We need to vote for those candidates and parties with positive vision, mission, and intention for the progress of our country.

India is crucial in international affairs due to its strong leadership. We currently stand 5th in GDP. It is the time now to be in the top 3.

Though India got freedom on 15th August 1947 and its constitution in 1950. But, if we compare our progress with our other countries, it will be an eye-opener for Indians. Most of the countries that got freedom after India are relatively much more developed than our country.

Reasons for India lagging-

  • First, we should talk about India, which has an area of 3,387,590 km² with land boundaries of 13,888km and coastlines of 7,000 km. The population density of India in 2022 was 431.11 people per square kilometer. Population is also hampering our progress. It is putting a lot of pressure on our resources. In 2024, vote for those candidates or parties who will work on population control by bringing reforms.
  • Per Capita Income is a metric used to determine the money earned per individual in a nation or geographical area. Regarding GDP, India is 5th largest economy in the world, but in terms of GDP per capita, we are 129th. The only reason is population. Many candidates or parties don’t address this issue. In 2024, vote for those candidates or parties who will address this issue and make reforms to control the population.
  • India has a booming VVIP number of 579092, compared to China (435) and the USA (252). We have to spend more than developed countries. The number of VIPs increasing also results in mounting bills on security Flight Bills, Foreign Travel & Vacation, Conveyance, Free Electricity, Free Water, Subsidized High-Quality food in Canteens & other perks. The cost for this comes from taxpayer money. VVIP culture flourishes under a political party run by a family. It is a time to ‘Say No’ to those parties run by a family.
  • Corruption has hampered our progress a lot. Many scams looted our money from our independence in 1947. It is our money. We suffer a lot because of corruption. While voting in 2024, ‘Say No’ to those parties and candidates with corruption charges.
  • Our India is 129th in happiness and 103rd in prosperity. It is because of some people who spread hatred about our nation. It is time to ‘Say No’ to such candidates and parties in 2024. So, we need a government that will bring uniformity throughout the country. The uniform civil code will help our nation in improving per capita income. An Indian will always vote for UCC.
  • Terrorism is one of the most threatening issues in the world. India was the victim of it, but not now. The world is following India’s pattern of tackling terrorism. We need a strong government that will end terrorism in India. Vote for those candidates and parties who strongly oppose terrorism.
  • India was a prosperous nation. Then, many invaders used the policy of ‘Divide and Rule.’ They divided us into religion, caste, creed, culture, and language. Some candidates and parties still use this policy to rule us. ‘Say No’ to such candidates and parties.

Vote for our country Vote for the betterment of our country Vote for the progress of our country.

While voting in 2024, only think of ‘Nation First’

Other soft skills include emotional intelligence, a positive attitude, and taking the initiative. It has to be learner-centered, enabling participants to interact, connect, and reflect.

A soft skills trainer is a professional who provides education regarding the art of business communication and relationships. They might work for an individual company or as a consultant. A soft skill trainer provides training to participants and helps them strengthen their interpersonal skills.

Being passionate is highly desirable for trainers. They should know how to maintain a passion for their work, keep their heart and minds open, and deeply care about their training. An effective trainer genuinely cares about learners’ success. The trainer should be an effective speaker with good interpersonal and teamwork skills to convey his thoughts. It developed a learning environment for my participants to express themselves positively and effectively. Interactive sessions helped my participants to connect with themselves and others. My training sessions have helped participants develop personally and professionally. The positive results of training and placement have benefitted many institutes in getting accreditations.

I am proud to announce that most of my participants have achieved their career and life goals.

I wish a happy and prosperous life for all my participants.

New Year Resolutions – 2024

Hi Friends, I am taking an opportunity to discuss resolutions for 2024 in this blog. It will help you understand them, their categories, and the steps to accomplish them.

Resolutions are firm decisions to do or not to do something / the quality of being determined or resolute.

They can be anything –

  • You need;
  •  You want;
  •  You desire to achieve or quit for the betterment of your life;
  •  You strive for;

We make so many resolutions each year, such as:

  • I will be fit from fat this year;
  •  I will go to school/college/or office on time;
  •  I will be in a healthy relationship this year;
  •  I will do further studies;
  •  I will achieve success in a job or business;
  •  I will quit smoking/drinking this year and many more…

However, as we all know, most people fail to accomplish their tasks and leave their resolutions either before starting them or halfway. We hear or read many jokes or comments on it. It is always a trolling topic in the first month of every year, and history repeats.

  • Let us take resolutions positively this time and assume that we will complete our resolution list in the new year – 2024;
  •  Let us take a guard against all the distractions and excuses in the new year;
  •  Let us fight against all the odds which defeated us for many years;
  •  Let us keep ourselves accountable for our resolutions;
  •  Let us take all the responsibilities to achieve them;
  •  Let us achieve whatever we desire in the new year to be an inspiration for those who care for us, love us, look upon us as their idols;
  •  Let us be that one person to announce that we achieved our resolutions and receive appreciation from our family and friends. It will be a motivating factor for us each year.

The few things that one needs to understand while making a resolution list are:

  • Make your resolutions in your own words;
  • Make your list depending on situations, requirements, needs, or passion;
  • Do not copy while making a resolution list. Instead, make resolutions in a language that you understand and explain it.

Here are a few steps one can follow while making a resolution list and achieving it:

Step 1 – First, make an overall list of your resolutions for the new year;

Step 2 – Now categorize them into various categories;

Category 1 · Depending on the importance;

Category 2 · Depending on the urgency;

Category 3 · Depending on its type;

Category 4 · Depending on its duration;

Category 5 · Depending on the relevance.

Step 3 – Find out all the opportunities you have;

Step 4 – Find out all the threats you may face so that you will be more prepared;

Step 5 -Take help from your friends, relatives, family, or close ones in achieving goals. If possible, find a mentor or coach to achieve your goals related to your life, wellness, health, relationships, education, career, or business.

Step 6 – Work on easy and urgent goals first. It will help you to gain confidence.

Step 7 – Achieve your resolutions and celebrate your achievements to boost your confidence to achieve more.

All the best for your resolutions.

Wishing you all in advance a very Happy and Prosperous New Year – 2024

Resume Building

A resume is a formal document of a job applicant, a summary of personal and professional experiences, skills, and educational history. A cover letter accompanies it, in which the applicant expresses an interest in a specific job or company and draws attention to the most relevant specifics on the resume.

Steps of resume writing

  • Choose the resume format & layout;
  •  Mention your details & contact information;
  •  Use a resume summary;
  •  List your work experience & achievements;
  •  Mention your soft & hard skills;
  •  Include languages and hobbies;
  •  Update relevant information;
  •  Draft a cover letter;
  •  Proofread Your Resume and Cover Letter.

Tips for composing your resume

  • Keep it concise;
  •  Give detail whenever possible;
  •  Highlight things you are good with;
  •  Format it;
  •  Be honest and accurate.

Your resume communicates qualifications and eligibility—who you are and what makes you different—to employers and recruiters.

Ideally, the resume has to be one page, but a two-page one works well for many job candidates. The extra page can be necessary to communicate all of the skills and experience the employer needs to see.

Hard Skills for a Resume:

  • Technical skills include specialized knowledge and expertise in fields such as IT, engineering, or science;
  •  Computer Skills;
  •  Analytical Skills;
  •  Marketing Skills;
  •  Presentation Skills;
  •  Management Skills;
  •  Project Management Skills;
  •  Writing Skills.

Typically, a resume will include the following parts:

  • The header: your name, address, phone number, and email;
  •  A professional Objective is a phrase or sentence that highlights your intentions and accomplishments;
  •  Qualifications Summary;
  •  Education;
  •  Experience.

The most commonly used resume types are chronological, combination, and functional. For most people, the reverse-chronological resume format is the best option. It means listing your work experience and education in reverse chronological order, starting with the most recent position and working backward through previous jobs or degrees.

The best resume font sizes are 11-12pt for text and 14-16pt for section titles and headers. The most-used resume formatting order is Contact information, work experience, skills, and education.

To crack a business deal, one must have a professional visiting card. If the interview is a business meeting, your Resume/CV is your visiting card. It helps you to –

  • Stand out among all applicants;
  •  Grabs the attention of employers and recruiters;
  •  Sells your skills and accomplishments;
  •  Shows how you’re a match for a position or project;
  •  And most importantly, you get a job interview!

Amol Dixit – Career Coach

१. अर्ध्याहून अधिक candidates sandals, slippers घालून आले होते;
२. काही candidates jeans घालून आले होते;
३. काही candidates t-shirts मध्ये होते;
४. काहीजण formals मध्ये होते पण कपड्यांचे रंग खूपच भडक होते;
५. मुलांपैकी बहुतांश clean shave look मध्ये नव्हते;
६. काहीजण सतत mobile phone चा वापर करत होते;
७. काहीजण मित्रांशी किंवा फोनवर मोठ्याने बोलत होते;

Stock Market

A stock is the asset you invest in, while a share is the unit of measurement for that asset. It is also known as equity. It represents the ownership of a fraction of the issuing corporation.

Units of stocks are called shares, which entitles the owner to a proportion of the assets and profits equal to how much stock they own.

Stocks are shares of ownership in publicly traded companies. Companies issue them on stock exchanges to raise money, at which point investors buy and sell them based on their potential. Buying and holding stocks can help you grow wealth and reach your long-term financial goals.

A share represents a unit of equity ownership in a company. A share entitles the shareholders to an equal claim on the profit and losses of the company.

There are two kinds of shares – equity shares and preference shares.

Shareholders are entitled to any profits and losses that the company may face.

A stock market index is created by grouping similar kinds of stock.

The NIFTY is the National Stock Exchange FIFTY. It includes fifty stock exchanges that cover 23 economic sectors.

The SENSEX is the Stock Exchange Sensitive Index. BSE (Bombay Stock Exchange) is the oldest stock exchange in India. It is a free float, economy-weighted index of 30 financially sound and well-established organizations listed on BSE.

Share price depends on supply and demand in the marketplace.

A bull market is an upswing, while a bear market is a downturn. Bull markets often correspond to periods of economic and job growth; bear markets are because of economic decline and a shrinking economy.

To begin investing, you need a trading account with a broker or a stock brokerage platform. The broker or the stock brokerage platform opens a demat account for you. A Demat account holds the financial securities in your name.

Equities are generally considered the riskiest class of assets. Dividends aside, they offer no guarantees. The risk is due to the volatility. It refers to the rate of price fluctuations of a share. A highly volatile stock experiences daily up and down movements in its price.

The stock market has become electronic. Traders need an online trading account with a registered broker. All orders to buy or sell shares take place through this trading account.

The most common way to value a stock is to compute the company’s price-to-earnings (P/E) ratio. The P/E ratio equals the company’s stock price divided by its most recently reported earnings per share (EPS).

With its considerable potential, the stock market needs research, preparation, and opening a Demat account and trading account with a reliable brokerage firm.

Generally, undervalued shares are favored over overvalued ones, as the investors buy low and sell high. If the company is performing well, it can give promising returns. The process of investing in undervalued stocks is known as value investing.

Market capital is crucial as it determines the size and value of a publicly traded company. It aids investors in assessing risk, comparing companies, and identifying market trends. The stocks with a market cap of Rs.10,000 crore or more are large-cap stocks. Company stocks with a market cap between Rs.2 crore and ten crores are mid-cap stocks, and those with less than Rs.2 crore are small-cap stocks.

Before investing, please remember that it is your hard-earned money, so invest it wisely with your research. There may be many tips but rely on your research.

There is a good saying in Marathi,

Keep Learning, Keep Investing !!!
