As exam dates are approaching, the atmosphere in many houses changes drastically.
Students appearing for SSC, HSC, and final year examinations are the ones experiencing these changes.
Parents put all their efforts so that their children score good marks in exams. It is the same scenario we see each year during exams.
Even after all the efforts, some students, though intelligent, somehow fail to perform as per their potentials in exams.
The situation further worsens when parents and relatives, without knowing the exact reason, comment – Thoda aur padhai ki hoti toh aur acche marks aate. It further demoralizes the students.┬а
I do conduct individual sessions as well as sessions for institutes on – Exam and stress management. It received a positive and overwhelming response from students and their parents as well as institutes.
The one common observation I had during my sessions is that students know about the implications if they donтАЩt do good in exams, but they are unaware of the bright future they will have if they do well in exams.
Students should be made aware of the importance of exams in their life and career. It will help them to see exams as an opportunity and platform to prove their worth. Students should be made aware of other benefits of appearing in exams and doing well in them.
It is the responsibility of parents to believe in the abilities of their children. They should encourage students to succeed positively.
We may already know that sugar affects our health. Yet, we are probably still overdoing it.
We, on average, consume about 20 teaspoons of added sugars per day. As per research, six and nine teaspoons of sugar have been recommended for women and men respectively.
Sugary drinks, candy, baked goods, and sweetened dairy are the sources of added sugar.
As mentioned in Ayurveda and other ancient medicine, sugar from natural food items are essential for our nutrition.
Synthetic sugars are unhealthy for our bodies. They are empty calories with no nutritional value. Also, they are addictive and rob your body of energy and health.
Many experiments are conducted to date, proving ill effects of sugar on our body, such as:
The most affected organ because of overeating sugar is the Liver;
Sugar does not have any nutritional value, so anyone eating sugary products only gets calories with no nutritional benefits. The more sugar you eat, the more youтАЩll weigh;
Sugar affects insulin secretion, thus leading to obesity and diabetes;
Sugar is addictive, thus increase our cravings for sugar;
Bacteria that cause cavities love to eat sugar lingering in your mouth after you eat something sweet;
Eating lots of sweets has been shown to worsen joint pain because of the inflammation they cause in the body;
Another side effect of inflammation: It may make your skin age faster;
Excess sugar can affect your arteries, part of your bodyтАЩs circulatory system;
It raises your cholesterol level, especially LDL, affecting your most important organ тАУ The heart;
One common side effect of a chronically high sugar level in the bloodstream is that it affects your circulatory system.

Exercise to get better blood sugar control and keep your blood sugar levels in a healthy range.
Eat a protein-packed snack – Protein acts as a blood sugar stabilizer and can slow the absorption rate of glucose.

Our India is┬а101st┬аin the overall Prosperity Index rankings and┬а144th in the Happiness Index rankings. If we want our country to top both the lists тАУ the Happiness index and the Prosperity index, we need to work on those factors that our culture taught us. We need to go back to our roots and relearn again what we have forgotten.
Our ancestors have taught the world about values and ethics for leading happy and prosperous life. It is now time to enlighten ourselves with that forgotten knowledge by reading books, scriptures written long back in our Indian culture.
Our country was once the happiest and prosperous country in the world because of its rich culture, morals, and values. We must follow the same path to bring back that golden era of our country…тЬНя╕П
In our childhood, we used to play puzzles. Initially, solving those puzzles seemed to be very difficult. However, with proper help and practice, we could solve every puzzle.
Our life is also a puzzle. Every day brings a new one for us to solve. Puzzles that we have to deal with in life are different from our childhood games. They are very complicated with lots of options. It becomes tedious to identify┬аthat particular missing part┬аfrom all available options. Everyone deal with those puzzles as per his/her abilities and capabilities.
Many take efforts to solve those puzzles;
Many find it difficult to solve it, so they take help from experts;
Many decide to leave them unsolved and continue to live life as it is.
Until my teenage, I used to leave many difficulties unsolved, which caused me many losses in the future. Later, I learned how important it was to take help and effort to solve every puzzle life serves on our plate.┬а
It helped me to find that missing part of my life.
In the future, I decided to take those professions, which gave me opportunities to help others in identifying that missing part of their life, which was holding them back.
As a Coach, Counselor, Consultant, Interior Designer, Dietitian, Fitness professional, Therapist, Trainer, Mentor, and Motivational speaker, I got many opportunities to help others to find┬аthat missing part┬аof their life, health, wellness, emotions, feelings, thought process, career, and education to take proper decision for a happy and prosperous life…тЬНя╕П
Due to the pandemic, we had to stay at home for our safety. The lockdown was necessary for our health and safety.
The most beneficiary from the lockdown was Mother Nature. We have seen and heard the good news about the healing of the earth due to the lockdown.
During the lockdown, I followed my methods for my physical and mental health. I am happy to achieve the desired results.
I have noted down a few things that I did in lockdown :
I watched Ramayana, Mahabharata, and Chanakya on the DD network – It helped to learn the importance of human life and its values. It also reminded me of our rich Indian culture;
I read Bhagwat Gita twice. It helped me to learn many things about human life and the way of living it effectively;
Did meditation, omkar mantra, pranayama, yoga, bodyweight exercises, weight training, pilates, and kickboxing for a healthy mind and body;
Online mentoring sessions for students, aspiring people who are looking for a job, wanted to set up a new business, homemakers, and working women;
I am getting many queries regarding information about counseling, coaching, and mentoring sessions. Many people mainly contact to understand the difference between these three before going for further sessions. Since I am working as a Counselor, Life coach, and a Mentor, I thought of writing an article to help many people to understand differences.
Counseling is the professional guidance of the individual by utilizing psychological methods in collecting case history data, using various techniques of the personal interview, and testing interests and aptitudes. It is a collaborative effort between the counselor and the client.
Certified counselors help clients to:
– Identify goals and potential solutions to problems that cause an emotional disturbance;
– Seek to improve communication and coping skills;
– Strengthen self-esteem;
– Promote behavior change and optimal mental health.
It is a process that helps clients in dealing with their personal and interpersonal conflicts. It is a profession dedicated to helping people experiencing both situational and long-term problems.
Life coaching is guidance to help people make progress in their lives to attain greater fulfillment. Life coaches help their clients in improving their relationships, careers, and day-to-day lives. A Life coach is someone who helps you identify your goals and develop an actionable plan to achieve them. A life coach encourages clients on a range of professional and personal issues. You would hire a coach to help you with specific professional projects, personal goals, and transitions.
A Life Coach helps you to:
Overcome obstacles and hurdles in your success;
Build confidence;
Find a career that you love;
Get clear on your goals;
Stay accountable to your goals;
Do more of the activities that engage you;
Form better relationships;
Have more meaning in your life.
A life coach is someone that looks to empower others by helping them make, meet, and exceed goals in both personal and professional life.
Mentoring is sharing knowledge, skills, and life experience by a more experienced person to guide another towards reaching their full potential; it is a journey of shared discovery for the future. Mentoring is a positive, supportive relationship, encouraging young people to develop to their fullest potential. Mentoring is a relationship between two people with the goal of professional and personal development.
The benefits of a mentoring relationship:
Being encouraged and empowered in personal development;
Being helped to identify and achieve career goals;
To identify and correct gaps in generic skills and knowledge;
Increasing your confidence;
Developing and maintaining a broader perspective on career options and opportunities.
In simple words,
Counseling is a therapy, which needs a deeper understanding of the clientтАЩs emotions and feelings and their impact on the day-to-day life of the client.
Life coaching requires more understanding of the clientтАЩs potential and thinking about life, career, and relationship. It encourages clients to form their own goals, boost their confidence, and help them to find ways to achieve it.
Mentoring is suggesting to the client the ways he/she can follow to achieve already decided goals.
In all three, it is necessary to believe in your Counsellor, Life Coach, and Mentor for desired results. You can visit my website тАУ┬аhttps://ables.in┬аfor more information on counseling, life coaching, and mentoring.
